All of the advantages of braces with none of the headaches.

At Dundas Dental Care, we take great pride in offering our patients Invisalign clear orthodontics. Although metal braces are still applied to shift teeth towards a certain position, Invisalign treatment is a nearly invisible substitute to traditional braces. Invisalign will help you get the smile you always wanted, without changing your appearance.

Invisalign can successfully treat about 80% of older teens and adults who need orthodontic care. The treatment enables patients to wear a series of transparent aligners that straighten teeth without the cumbersome application of metal brackets. With a winning track record that spans more than 20 years and four million satisfied patients, Invisalign is a cosmetic alternative that’s been proven to deliver efficient and comfortable results.

We rely on cutting-edge software for the design and development of our Invisalign treatment. As a result, we are able to guarantee more predictable teeth movement
This treatment is almost completely invisible, requires less maintenance to keep teeth clean. It’s completely removable so you can brush and floss as before.

How will Invisalign impact my daily routine?
In general, Invisalign aligners will barely interfere with your daily life. The technology does not include metal wires, and there are no limitations on the food you can eat. Plus, Invisalign makes cleaning your teeth very easy. Having straighter teeth does not only lead to improved chewing and a prettier smile, but healthier gums as well. Your mouth is the doorway to your body’s overall wellbeing. Therefore, healthy gums play an important role in reducing the risk of systemic conditions, including diabetes, heart attack or stroke. Straighter teeth aid in proper chewing practices, ensure alignment of top and bottom teeth and reduce your risk of fractures and tooth loss.
Is Invisalign right for me?
About 80% of all orthodontic patients can be treated with Invisalign. However, not all cases are appropriate for this treatment. Some constraints do exist, and are usually connected to jaw discrepancies or severely rotated teeth.
How long will I have to wear Invisalign?
As a rule of thumb, most of the patients that choose Invisalign take between six and 14 months to complete the treatment. We rely on the latest technology on the market, and it takes us as little as one week to switch through the aligner trays. This means you can come in for a new set of aligners every four to six weeks!
Is Invisalign covered by my dental insurance?
This depends on the particular plan chosen by your employer. Dental plans differ across the spectrum, which is why certain plans will cover Invisalign, while others will not. We want to ensure you get the most mileage out of your existing plan, and will run a complimentary benefits check towards your Invisalign coverage.
What is the cost of Invisalign?
Invisalign usually costs about the same as conventional braces. We take into account your present situation and are always happy to talk to you about customized options that are right for you. As part of your first consultation, we will go over your x-rays, take a few photos and assess your oral health and hygiene. This will help us come up with options that are tailored to your age, habits and lifestyle.

I love treating children and adults but there is something special about working with a child who is too shy or afraid to even look you in the eye. That first smile when they realize they are going to be fine always gives me a wonderful feeling.
